Accreditations and Certifications

One-LUX proudly announces the full re-certification of its environmental management system to ISO 14001:2015 (BSI). Additionally, our ISO 9001:2015 (BSI) Quality Management System also underwent a successful audit, reaffirming our commitment to delivering flawless products and services through effective processes and expertly trained staff. Moreover, we met the rigorous criteria set by the Lighting Industry Association’s LIAQA scheme for the manufacture of Emergency Luminaires, Emergency Lighting Control Gear and Emergency Lighting Batteries.

Two Senior Management Additions at One-LUX

We are thrilled to announce the exciting addition of two new team members in senior management roles!

Darrell Clark will take up the position of Operations Manager, while Leigh-Anne de Bruin will fulfil a Business Development Management role. Both Darrell and Leigh-Anne are highly experienced professionals and their appointments are expected to strengthen our position in both the UK and export markets as leading specialists in emergency lighting solutions and controls. 

Operations Manager, Darrell, will be navigating all areas of the business from new product release, manufacturing, purchasing, and warehousing, with the remit of driving efficiency and continual improvement. Having worked in the industry for 33 years, Darrell brings an impressive wealth of knowledge in manufacturing and supply chain management.

When asked about his new role, Darrell said: 

I’m here to make a difference. I have decades of experience working for an internationally renowned large-scale lighting manufacturer, which allows me to introduce new processes and a fresh insight to One-LUX. I am looking forward to using my knowledge and perspective to improve efficiency across a wide range of applications in the company.

Equally, Leigh-Anne has worked in the lighting industry for over 20 years, and as Business Development Manager is looking forward to sharing her expertise and expanding her knowledge of the emergency lighting sector. Her technical background and customer service approach will greatly benefit her in her new role as she empathises with customers and acts quickly to maximise opportunity.

Discussing what she is enjoying most about working alongside her new team, Leigh-Anne said:

One-LUX is growing and has a lot of exciting unique selling propositions. I love the fact that our products are Made-in-Britain and during my first week I spent time as part of our dedicated production team, where it was great to see the care and attention given to everything we do. Emergency lighting is an important part of any project, especially in the UK with its robust building regulations, and this is an important reason why I wanted to join One-LUX. We are a growing and dynamic team, which I am delighted to be a part of, especially when the team are a lovely bunch as well!

Coronavirus is affecting us all.  In light of the latest government advice, uncertainty and disruption, we just wanted to let you know that we’re still here if you need us; as a proud Made-in-Britain manufacturer, our lead times across most product lines remain largely unaffected.

Be assured, that we are working closely with our customers, suppliers and staff to ensure that we are responding effectively to the COVID-19 outbreak in order to minimise the impact on our operations and service.  Where possible, our office-based staff are now working from home including our Sales team who are ready and waiting to support you with any enquiries you may have.

One-LUX Set to Expand Product Range

As part of its growth plans for 2019, emergency lighting experts One-LUX will be adding to its current range of emergency luminaires over the coming months to offer a more comprehensive range.

The launches will begin with the introduction of an optical corridor lensed product, which, after being compared to several competitor products, has been shown to offer exceptional performance.

At a 2.5 metre ceiling height, the new product from One-LUX will offer light distribution and emergency luminaire spacing of 19 metres – which upon comparison to other industry products offers far superior performance.

Continuing with its product expansion, One-LUX will be launching its first range of surface mounted emergency luminaire solutions, which will be available in both circular and square versions from Spring 2019.

All of these new options will be available with DALI & Self-Test variations to make the solutions as universal as possible.

One-LUX to Launch Wealth of New Products at ELECTEX 2018, Dublin

As part of its customer-engagement strategy for 2018, emergency lighting leaders One-LUX will be attending the Electex show in Dublin.

Electex Dublin is being held at the Citywest Hotel, Conference & Event Centre in Saggart, on October 17^th and 18^th. It aims to bring together companies from across the wide-ranging electrical industry with a view to promoting new business relationships and encouraging innovation.

One-LUX will use the show to launch a range of exciting new products, with members of the team available to discuss these latest solutions. The stand will also feature a number of prototypes so customers can get hands on experience of the new One-LUX products.

Customers will also be able to enquire about One-CONNECT; a DALI-based, scalable, testing and reporting system which has been introduced as part of the company’s ongoing drive to deliver the best solutions for its customers.

Recent tragic events have demonstrated the importance of testing and maintaining emergency lighting applying considerable pressure on facility managers, landlords and local authorities to ensure that their emergency lighting is compliant and safe. If not, then the likelihood of high fines and criminal prosecutions are high, and so it has never been more important to ensure that emergency lighting is maintained correctly, and testing is carried out to meet mandatory requirements.

As part of its ongoing drive to deliver the best solutions for its customers, emergency lighting experts One-LUX introduce One-CONNECT; a DALI-based, scalable, testing and reporting system.

Designed to allow a flexible, powerful and user-friendly way of managing emergency lighting, users can view, print and email emergency testing reports all from a touchscreen panel. This ensures easy identification of faults and the efficient maintenance of the emergency lighting system to comply with regulations.

Using an intuitive graphical user interface and commissioning tool, underpinned by a powerful database engine, the One-CONNECT system provides users with an intelligent, yet simple way to set-up the system and present real-time statuses of all components.

Easy to operate and navigate, One-CONNECT aids users to breakdown their emergency lighting system to view each device individually, or as a whole.  An ‘Autoheal’ option for each DALI Bus supports the replacement of a single failed DALI emergency device without the need for reprogramming the network; the system recognises a missing DALI device and ‘heals’ the system automatically making the replacement process much simpler and cost effectively.

With the ability to use up to 8 touchscreens with a single One-CONNECT system, touchscreens can be networked together to offer a system that has scope to accommodate up to 10,240 DALI emergency devices.

Furthermore, One-CONNECT’s intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) is configured and operated using a standard Apple iPad, which is provided with a specially designed One-LUX app.

To ensure a flexible approach when installing and commissioning the system, One-CONNECT provides options to create a fully private network or integrate with an existing IT framework, enabling ultimate flexibility to configure a solution to meet any requirement.

One-LUX achieves UAE Civil Defence Approval

UK based lighting solutions specialists, One-LUX, have received the Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) approval for their emergency modules and control gear technologies. The DCD awards Civil Defence Approval for a variety of services, with the sole aim of making Dubai a safe and secure environment.

Dubai Civil Defence play an essential role in maintaining the correct level of security and safety in industrial plants, factories and commercial buildings throughout Dubai. It is mandatory that emergency lighting products receive Civil Defence Approval before being installed in the country.

To obtain approval, products must be compliant with many specific requirements, and these are tested vigorously before compliance is granted. Civil Defence Approval offers assurance that the products being used are of a high quality, and safe to use, giving further credibility to the extensive One-LUX product portfolio, which is already well respected throughout the industry in Europe.

One-LUX Emergency Modules Granted ENEC Approval

One-LUX quality validated and assured

UK based lighting solutions specialists, One-LUX is proud to announce that their Omni-LED and Unity-LED ranges have been granted European Norms Electrical Certification (ENEC) approval. The ENEC Mark is universally acknowledged as a mark of quality and demonstrates third party independent compliance with relevant European safety standards. The scheme complements CE marking by validating compliance independently.

ENEC certification provides access to many markets in the European Union, as well as to the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), which includes Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. One-LUX product ranges, Omni-LED and Unity-LED were both awarded the certification, which offers assurance to manufacturers that these products comply with relevant standards, as tested and awarded by an independent and recognised testing body. Furthermore, ENEC approval offers assurance that One-LUX products are of a high quality lending credibility to the extensive One-LUX product portfolio, already well respected in the industry.
